Water is your enemy the first 48 hours after an application! When your extensions are first applied, your lash artist will most likely remind you to avoid water.  

Avoid showering and physical activity for at least a full 24 hours in order to ensure your lash glue has dried properly. If your extensions are exposed to water during this time period - the glue bond can be weakened and your lash life will be shortened.

Clean and brush daily!

The best way to extend your lash life is to keep them clean! Giving your lashes their required daily TLC will help them last in between appointments. 

Your lash artist will most likely give you a clean spoolie after every appointment. If you’re like me, you may end up having a spoolie almost everywhere like your purse, car, or bathroom!

• Rinse off the cleaner and any makeup residue with clean water.

Make sure to brush your eyelash extensions every morning. Why in the morning? When you’re sleeping your lashes can be prone to entanglement. The secret to upkeep your extensions is simple - just brush them! For sleeping, substitute that old pillowcase with a silk one! 

Use lash friendly products

Not all beauty products will get along with your extensions. Avoid any oil or alcohol based products that are applied to your face. That can include waterproof mascara all the way to certain facial moisturizers.
